PROLOGUE The voices seemed to awaken me, the tones and notes that haunted the atmosphere around her helped me to come alive like I never had before. Beauty emanated from the smallest of spaces around her, in bright swirls of music that took over my body. I stood with grace like my mother's, and began to dance. My lungs were burning and my legs bleeding as I ran, not sure of what was pursuing me but with the single piece fo knowledge that the thing was far from good. Somewhere along this road I had forgotten, more than just what it was but what I was, where I was supposed to be. She jumped out into the middle of the road from the sidewalk and smiled. I followed her, reaching for her hand but she pulled away and spun. I moved to the beautiful creature and wrapped my arms around her, pressing her warm lips to mine and smiling. It was impossible not to be happy around her. She was too heavenly. She didn't speak too much, which was alright with me since I couldn't exactly carry a conversation anyways. The others had escaped and we did not bother to go looking for them. It would only cause drama or trouble for us to hang around a group to long, I figure being with someone like her would be beneficial for both of us. It was the noise that attracted them.  The noise emanating from the heater inside the building that some idiot had decided to turn on.  Everyone had been silent for the past two hours, waiting and praying that the beasts, who were finally starting to fade away from the windows, would all disappear.
